So that is my task to myself this week is keeping on track. You know I do not want to run out of steam. I have noticed changes in me that are awesome. I will not eat anything until I know how mant Weight Watchers points it is period. I will not buy it either. There are so many things peddled as healthy and are not. I now can make an awesome pasta sauce without the cream, butter and unhealthy fat! The funny thing is that I seem to be more creative and cook better when it is healthier.
I also found out I love to work out. I can not believe it. I am now doing 80 minutes of cardio five to six days a week. I do mix it up some, so that I do not get bored. I also do about 15 mintes of strength traning as well on those days. My goal is to be able to walk on a 13.0 incline by the beginning of September for about 15 minutes. Right now I walk from an 4.0 incline to 9.00 for 45 minutes.
I have a new website that I love livestrong.com that calculates my caloric intake, activites, gives me nutrutional info on my recipes, and dining out info. I really found tracking truly helps. It showed me that I was not eating enough, and that I was kinda low on fats!
I also found out that I will find out the foods that are offered when eating out before I go and plan. I was so shocked at some things that were healthy in my eyes but when I went on their websites, they were either loaded in soduim, or calories. For example,Chipotle.
You get the bowl becuase it has no tortilla right? Salads at Chipotle can have as many as 720 calories, 43 g of fat and 1,900 mg of sodium!Wow. So get the dressing on the side or better yet stay away from the vinagrette which adds 300 calories!
Whataburger order the grilled chicken sandwhich right? The lowest fat option, the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, still packs 470 calories, but contains 19 g of fat and 4 g of saturated fat. With 49 g of carbohydrates, 55 mg of cholesterol and 1,018 mg of sodium, this sandwich still falls short of "health food." Yikes diabetes nightmare.
Taco bell, order the al fresco, most of these options only have 150 calories!
Taco Bell Fresco Style Grilled Steak Soft Taco is a great choice for people trying to eat healthy. It has only 170 calories, and 5 g of total fat. It is also rich in protein, iron and vitamin B12.
I will probably never eat another chickne biscuit at chic fila again that has 440 calories 20 grams of fat and 1240 mg of soduim. Opt for the yogurt parfait. For lunchopt for the chargrilled chciken sandwich on wheat for 280 cal, or a salad.
